I'm SO glad that I bought this book, and have read it twice already! I'm on my third read thru now...going well, i must say. Burt Kearn's book...Tabloid Baby ... is MORE than a page turner...it almost turns itself, as your eyes are begining to turn inwards. You MUST get this book...it reminds me of books that we used to buy...written by writers who REALLY know how to write. and how to keep your attention...without being absolutely CHEESY. There were parts of it that made me giggle, and parts of it that made me cry. CRY. in a completely unaffected way. I always think of Burt as someone who knows how to "Stand In The Trenches"...something you NEED if you want to make your livig as he does. He stayed with TV through the tough times...times of unparalelled silliness and more bs. than you thought possible...and he stayed with it until it grew up. Bless his pea pickin' heart. YES, Bless you Burt for your book full of insight, humor and tragedy. hey...WRITE ANOTHER ONE! Meanwhile, Y'all buy this one! You;ll be glad you've got it in your library.
